DRESSER
This dresser needed a makeover after 9 years.... and this color was IT!
The first step was deciding on a color. I knew I wanted a matte black color for the moody bedroom vibes so I chose Rust-Oleum flat black with a flat polycrylic finish.

This project took a lot longer than I expected and I am glad Its over. Hopefully I will remember how long It took and we will Invest In a paint sprayer for our next project. First step was sanding everything down. My Ikea dresser was not solid wood like I originally thought so I just gave the whole thing a light sanding to roughen up the surface for paint.
I covered everything In one coat of primer to hopefully help the paint adhere better.
It ended up taking 3 full coats to get the proper coverage over the original white color. But It was quite the contrasted change. I also used 3 full top coats of polycrylic to make sure the paint held up for many years.
I went back and forth between many drawer pull designs and I ultimately decided on some Inexpensive matte black ones from amazon. They are a perfect fit and I love the look.
